Why We decided to homeschool?

There are quite a few reason why we decided to homeschool. I always kind of had an idea of homeschooling my kids from the very begining but never put my ideas into action :) We finaly decided that it is the right thing for us to do and mainly I feel like God placed it into my heart to do so.
We get so very little time with our children, before you know it they will be teens who will not want to spend time with you, and I want to make the most of the time I have with my kids and put into them as much of Gods love and scripture-wisdom as I can.
I want their main success and education to be knowing their God and loving Him with all their hearts, soul, mind, strength and loving their neighbor as themselves.
I absolutly can say that I love teaching my kids, learning with them new things! I love the fact that they can learn whatever they want to learn and that its something they are interested in.
We like the idea that we can teach our children in an environment where they don't have to fit in, where they dont have to deal with bullying or peer pressure. Its also nice that their closest relationship will or could be with the people they or we choose, not whoever is going to be sitting next to them that school year.

What about socialization?
Well me tell you, with a full house like ours theres plenty of that ;) We take the kids to church where they have friends, we have family friends, Sunday school, choir practices (hopefully to start soon again), we belong to a wonderful homeschool organization that is very good at field trips, they have art classes, chapel times for all the children; great events planned out with that organization, so we are looking forward to an exciting year of homeschool, filled with plenty of social activities!
God gave me these wonderful children to bring up as disciples for Him and so I will do. (atleast try to)... At the end of the way it will be my husband and I that will be accountable for their education and more importantly their Hearts!!!
